The historic Chollar Mine in Virginia City, Nevada has functioned as an underground tour into an old silver and gold mine for over forty years.  Virginia City, a mining town dating back to the 1860's, is a tourist attraction located 25 miles south of Reno and 25 miles east of Lake Tahoe.

There are three lots involved with this property.  There is a mine office, parking lot, gold panning area, and two out buildings.  Machinery and equipment on display include a five stamp mill, hoisting cage, head frame, ore cars, trammer, steam engine, compressors, as well as an assortment of other mine equipment.  The mine office has displays of ore samples, old photos, hand tools, and maps.  Some mineral rights are included with the sale of this property.
